A huge THANKS from ee!

Another successful Event Essentials Open House has come and gone, and we’re so humbled by the wonderful support of our friends, family, clients and sponsors.

We kicked off with a VIP Customer Appreciation Night, with great music by Merl Halverson and delicious meal catered by Circolo. Our VIP guests each got chocolates with our logo printed on them! A perfect touch. And caricaturist Bernie Tennis also made an appearance, which was loads of fun.

If you weren’t able to make it out to the Open House, you missed a great display of several of our new items! They looked great — even if we are biased. New chiavari chair caps, beautiful candelabras, a light-up bar… And Black River Ice Sculptures made  an awesome sculpture that served as a funnel for pouring drinks. The live music by Black Water Gin was also a hit!

If you were able to attend, we hope you enjoyed the great food selection from our wonderful sponsors — the mashed potato bar was to die for! Johnson’s Catering also had a pig roast outside. You probably smelled it! We also want to thank the wonderful folks from the Traveling Photo Booth for being on hand to provide fun, little mementos for our guests.

Overall, we had such a wonderful couple nights! We’ve posted photo albums on our Facebook page, so be sure to check them out. And, of course, a heartfelt thanks to each and every sponsor:

New products, new inspiration!

Every so often we get some new products that we just can’t wait to share with you. This just so happens to be one of those times. Hopefully we can get those creative wheels turning as you plan your next event.

Candelabras are an elegant way to decorate with candles. Placing them throughout your event creates a put-together candle look with just one, simple piece. They also add a touch of elegance, if you’re looking for a little romantic flavor. We just got three new tabletop candelabras in black, white, and matte gold. Perfect and classy. Make sure to ask about them when you’re placing your order!

We also love harvest tables. They’re so easy to dress up for a rustic look. Our new harvest tables have adjustable legs to be raised to bar height! The right accessories turn these wooden tables into a perfect bar table, dessert table, or cocktail table. Check ‘em out!

Speaking of tables… what do you think of a light up end table? We couldn’t resist. What an awesome, contemporary look. Planning an after hours cocktail event? Perfect. We’re happy to show you what we’ve got available.

So there you have it. Three new products offering three very different “looks” for your event. Can’t decide which look you want? Flip a coin. Use all three. Plan three events. We don’t mind. We’re just here to help. [wink]

EE tabletop design wins “Most Viable Concept” at Wisconsin Restaurant Expo

Some exciting news to share today!

The Wisconsin Restaurant Expo’s 80th Annual Foodservice Trade Show took place this week in Milwaukee. Part of the expo included a tabletop design competition, so of course we took part, and we’re glad we did! The competition called for the creation of  a table display for eight with our own materials to be assembled on-site. An expert panel of judges scored entries on the following criteria: Innovation, Functionality, Technicality, First Impression and Cohesiveness

We teamed up with Personal Expressions, and came up with an original concept we called “The Hidden Gem.” Much to our delight, we took home the award for Most Viable Concept for its functional and practical design. The theme revolved around the use of jewel tones and rich, saturated colors. Our Creative Coordinator, Katie Paulos, said the staff at Personal Expressions incorporated flowers into the design with exquisite attention to detail, and Sugar Pear Design created intricately-designed name cards and invitations as part of the concept.

“The gold and silver metallic accents  aided in the regality and enchantment of the design,”  says Katie. “It was a fun collaboration, and we can’t wait until next year.”

Best of all — we’ll be featured in Catering Magazine!

We couldn’t be more proud of our team and all their hard work!
